In addition to overseeing all state legislative relations, the State Relations Office also creates a strong policy climate for UGA’s academic, research, and outreach missions. Our office also ensures that the priorities of the University are clearly communicated to Georgia’s state leaders, including the governor, members of the General Assembly, and state departments and agencies. As a primary contact between the University, other higher education institutions, and the legislative and executive branches of Georgia’s government, the Office of State Relations is dedicated to keeping the UGA community abreast of key legislative and educational issues at the state level.
