Staff Biographies
Kevin Abernethy
Kevin Abernethy serves as the Vice President for Government Relations for the University of Georgia and oversees University relations with federal, state, and local government officials. On campus, he reports to the President and works closely with the Provost and other senior administrators to advance programs and activities that are important to the institution.
Blake Raulerson
Blake Raulerson serves as the Associate Vice President for Government Relations and the Director of State Relations for the University of Georgia. In these roles, he is responsible for developing and executing the University’s strategy and relationships with officials and others involved in the state legislative and executive branches.
Carly McCallie
Carly McCallie serves as the Director of Federal Relations for the University of Georgia. Her position includes planning, coordinating, and executing University priorities with the federal government, as well as serving as the University’s liaison with Congress, federal departments and agencies, and higher education associations and advocacy groups.
Alison Bracewell McCullick
Alison McCullick serves as the Director of Community Relations for the University of Georgia. In her role, Alison heads the Office of Community Relations and serves as the primary liaison between UGA and the Athens-Clarke County government, businesses, neighborhoods, nonprofit organizations, community leaders and individuals.
Devon Gill
Devon Gill serves as the Senior Associate of Federal Relations for the University of Georgia. Her position includes supporting the Director of Federal Relations by serving as a Congressional liaison and executing University priorities with the federal government. In Washington, Devon manages the operations of Delta Hall, which houses students participating in the University of Georgia’s Washington Semester Program.
Ben Morris
Ben Morris serves as the Government Relations Associate for the University of Georgia. Ben is based in Athens and supports the Vice President for Government Relations as well as the directors for federal, state, and community relations. Additionally, this position serves as a primary liaison between Government Relations and other administrative offices and departments at the University.
Nan Thomas
Nan Thomas serves as the Office Manager in the Office of Government Relations for the University of Georgia. She is responsible for business and office operations. She also assists with scheduling, office communications, and is the executive assistant to the Vice President for Government Relations.
Chloe Sirmans
Chloe Sirmans serves as the Government Relations Assistant for the University of Georgia. In this role, Chloe works to support and accomplish the University’s goals and objectives as well as coordinate and implement several communications functions within the Office of Government Relations.
